Meet the most popular barometer of the UK financial markets called the FTSE 100, or 'Footsie' in short. With the elaborated name of 'The Financial Times Stock Exchange 100 Index, the FTSE 100 Index comprises of the top 100 companies which are listed on the London Stock Exchange of the United Kingdom and rank at the top in terms of the market capitalisation values. The index was founded in 1984 and follows a capitalisation-weighted methodology. It is rebalanced on a quarterly basis for getting the top 100 top valued stocks in its basket. This article presents the list of the companies listed on LSE which are a part of the leading stock market index FTSE 100 Index. Details in the table include values of market cap, current stock price, percent returns and YTD gains/loss of 2020 till the time of writing.
