Though the index is constituted by only around 50 stocks, it represents more than 55 percent of the market capitalization of the Hong Kong listed companies. Launched in 1969, the Hang Seng index is the main indicator of the overall market performance in Hong Kong. This article presents the list of the companies listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) which are a part of the leading stock market index HANG SENG Index.
