Such Shariah ETFs invest in the companies of stocks whose business operations and practices adhere to the requirements of Sharia laws. They may include companies which are operating in a socially responsible manner, may not be charging interest to its customers and vendors, may not be involved in the business of certain food items and their processing methods, and so on.
