S&P indexes are one of the most widely followed market indicators not only in the U.S. but all across the globe. Owing to their immense popularity and wider range of stock coverage, these S&P indices are used as benchmark for multiple products that span across various exchange traded funds (ETF) and various derivative instruments like futures and options. A large number of S&P index based ETFs have been launched by various issuers, and they cover a wide variety of stocks. For instance, one can find S&P index based ETFs which focus on growth stocks, while other variants focus on dividend paying stocks or value generating stocks. While the standard S&P 500 ETFs allow exposure to the market-wide array of major U.S. stocks, there are special S&P index ETFs which offer exclusive exposure to a select basket of mid-cap stocks and small-cap stocks. There are inverse S&P 500 ETFs, and there are leveraged S&P index based ETFs. Such ETFs can invest directly in S&P index constituent stocks, or they can take selective positions in related futures contracts. One can select the preferred ETF on various S&P indexes as per their risk appetite and return expectations. Following is the list of all 57 exchange-traded funds that FKnol has in its database for ETFs which belong to the S&P Index category:
