Mega cap stocks are those which have a valuation of $200 billion or more. This valuation is indicated by the market capitalization value of the company. There are Mega Cap ETFs and Mega Cap Blend ETFs which are preferred by investors who want to take a portfolio level exposure to mega cap stocks.
Additionally, there is a subclass of mega cap ETFs which aims to generated magnified returns from the mega cap stocks and is classified as the Leveraged Mega Cap Exchange-traded Funds (ETF). Such mega cap leveraged ETFs may be covering all industry sectors of the economy, or may be sector- or region specific, or may be global in nature of investment. However, they generate the returns which are a magnified factor of the leverage which is usually indicated by a factor of 2x, 3x or 4x.

How Leveraged Mega Cap ETFs Work?

Most of the Leveraged Mega Cap ETFs track a particular large cap stock market index. For example, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is a popular mega cap index of the America. The Leveraged Mega Cap ETFs take futures positions on such indices, and achieve the magnified returns of the stated leverage factor. Typically, the factor is 2x, 3x or 4x, which amplifies the returns by the same value. However, investors should note that along with positive returns, the risk is also magnified by the same multiple.
