The capital markets of America offers a long list of Australian exchange-traded funds (ETF) through which investors can take a shot at investments in Australia. These ETFs comprise of three types - one, which invest in stocks of the companies which are usually based in the large Australian continent, second are the ETFs which either trade in the Australian currency (AUD) or have exposure to the currency, and third are the ETFs which have foreign exposure for multiple countries which includes Australia. For the first category, the stocks included in such Australian ETFs are of those companies which derive a significant part of revenue and income from the business operations in that region. Despite all the political unstability over the last few years which has seen many changes to leadership in Australia, the continent nation's economy has been robust and steady. Primarily, it is based on large pool of natural resources which is supported by Australia's vast lands, and the low population.

How Australian ETFs Work?

Australia ETFs focus on investing in the companies which are either domiciled in the Australian continent country and have their business operations running in the region, or those which have exposure to the Australian currency. Australian economy mainly works on a variety of sectors which include energy, agriculture, infrastructure, mining, drilling and exploration, and manufacturing. Most ETFs follow a blend investment strategy (see list of Blend ETFs.) and are mostly classified under the small-cap or multi-cap investments, or emerging markets or foreign market investments in terms of regional exposure.
