South Jersey Industries, Inc. (SJI), incorporated in 1969, is an energy services holding company. The Company provides a range of energy-related products and services, primarily through its subsidiaries. The Company's segments include Gas utility operations, Wholesale energy operations, SJE, On-Site energy production, Appliance service operations, and Corporate and Services segment. Its subsidiaries include South Jersey Gas Company (SJG), South Jersey Energy Company (SJE), South Jersey Resources Group, LLC (SJRG), South Jersey Exploration, LLC (SJEX), Marina Energy, LLC (Marina), South Jersey Energy Service Plus, LLC (SJESP) and SJI Midstream, LLC (Midstream).

The Gas utility operations (SJG) consist primarily of natural gas distribution to residential, commercial and industrial customers. The Wholesale energy operations include the activities of SJRG and SJEX. SJE is involved in both retail gas and retail electric activities, including retail gas and other operations that include natural gas acquisition and transportation service business lines, and retail electric operations that consist of electricity acquisition and transportation to commercial and industrial customers. The On-Site energy production consists of Marina's thermal energy facility and other energy-related projects. This segment also includes the activities of ACB Energy Partners, LLC (ACB), AC Landfill Energy, LLC (ACLE), BC Landfill Energy, LLC (BCLE), SC Landfill Energy, LLC (SCLE), SX Landfill Energy, LLC (SXLE), MCS Energy Partners, LLC (MCS), NBS Energy Partners, LLC (NBS) and SBS Energy Partners, LLC (SBS). The Appliance service operations include SJESP. The Corporate and Services segment includes the activities of Midstream. The Company groups its non-utility operations into over two categories: Energy Group and Energy Services. Energy Group includes wholesale energy, retail gas and other, and retail electric operations. Energy Services include on-site energy production and appliance service operations.

The Company's subsidiary, SJG is a regulated natural gas utility. SJG distributes natural gas in the seven southern counties of New Jersey. SJRG markets natural gas storage, commodity and transportation assets along with fuel management services on a wholesale basis in the mid-Atlantic, Appalachian and southern states. SJEX owns oil, gas and mineral rights in the Marcellus Shale region of Pennsylvania. Marina develops and operates on-site energy-related projects. The subsidiaries of Marina include ACB, which owns and operates a natural gas fueled combined heating, cooling and power facility located in Atlantic City, New Jersey; ACLE, BCLE, SCLE and SXLE, which own and operate landfill gas-fired electric production facilities in Atlantic, Burlington, Salem and Sussex Counties in New Jersey, and MCS, NBS and SBS, which own and operate solar-generation sites located in New Jersey. SJESP services residential and small commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, installs small commercial HVAC systems, provides plumbing services and services appliances under warranty through a subcontractor arrangement, as well as on a time and materials basis. Midstream invests in infrastructure and other midstream projects, including a project to build a 100-mile natural gas pipeline in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
