Carnival plc, incorporated on July 19, 2000, is a leisure travel company. The Company's segments include North America, and Europe, Australia & Asia (EAA). Its North America segment includes Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises (Princess), Holland America Line and Seabourn. Its EAA segment includes Costa Cruises (Costa), AIDA Cruises (AIDA), P&O Cruises (the United Kingdom), P&O Cruises (Australia) and Cunard. It also includes Cruise Support segment, which represents its portfolio of port destinations and private islands. In addition to its cruise operations, it owns Holland America Princess Alaska Tours, a tour company in Alaska and the Canadian Yukon. Its tour company owns and operates hotels, lodges, glass-domed railcars and motorcoaches.

North America

The Company's Carnival Cruise Line offers cruises generally from three to eight days with almost all of its ships departing from 16 convenient United States home ports located along the East, Gulf and West coasts, Puerto Rico and Hawaii as of November 30, 2016. Carnival Cruise Line is the provider of cruises in The Bahamas, the Caribbean and Mexico and also operates seasonal cruises in Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Europe. In addition, Carnival Cruise Line deployed two ships in Australia, one on a year-round basis and one seasonally-based. These ships offer cruises tailored to the Australian market.

As of November 30, 2016, Princess operated a fleet of 17 ships. Princess sails from Alaska to Asia and Australia, the Caribbean and Mexico, Europe, the Panama Canal and South America, among others. The line offers cruises ranging from 3 to 20 days with longer sailings from 25 to 111 days, including two world cruises. Princess Cruises Come Back New features several products and services, such as personal choice dining, offering guests three dining options, including traditional dining, anytime dining and specialty dining at venues; onboard entertainment featuring voice of the ocean, an interactive show, and onboard activities and shore excursions designed in collaboration with Discovery Channel.

The Company's Holland America Line operated a fleet of 14 mid-sized ships as of November 30, 2016. Its ships visited over 400 ports of call in approximately 100 countries and territories on all seven continents as of November 30, 2016. Holland America Line's cruises ranges from 3 to 35 days with longer, exotic Grand Voyages from 55 to 116 days, including an annual Grand World Voyage. Holland America Line ships generally sail in Alaska, Europe, the Caribbean and Australia.

The Company's Seabourn fleet of three 460-passenger and one 600-passenger ships, the ships of the cruise industry, offer accommodations, gourmet dining, drinks and wines, experiences, such as the Officer on Deck culinary event and shopping with the Chef excursions. Seabourn's ships cruise to destinations around the world, including Europe, Asia, the South Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand, the Americas and Antarctica, with cruises generally from 7 to 14 days, along with a number of longer voyages.

Europe, Australia & Asia

Its Costa is a cruise line in Italy, France and Spain. Its ships are deployed in the Mediterranean Sea, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, Brazil, Argentina, the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. The line offers a range of itineraries, with cruises generally ranging from 7 to 20 days and also has longer exotic sailings from 20 to 30 days and one world cruise. Costa is also a cruise line in China. Most of its cruises sailing in China were four or five days and cater to Chinese guests.

AIDA is tailored for German-speaking guests and includes a German-speaking crew as well as German-style food and entertainment. AIDA's ships include a range of dining options, including buffets, grills and exclusive restaurants. AIDA offers a relaxed, yet active, cruising experience for all generations. As of November 30, 2016, AIDA operated 11 ships featuring a resort casual atmosphere. AIDA offers its guests cruises generally from 3 to 21 days, while visiting over 230 ports. AIDA ships generally sail in the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Atlantic Isles, the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, the Arabian Gulf, Central America and the Indian Ocean.

P&O Cruises (United Kingdom) operated a fleet of eight premium ships as of November 30, 2016. P&O Cruises (United Kingdom)'s ships visit over 200 destinations around the world, with cruises generally from 7 to 17 days and a number of longer voyages, including two world cruises of over 100 days. P&O Cruises (United Kingdom)'s ships generally sail to the Mediterranean Sea, Scandinavia, the Baltic Sea, New England, Canada, the Atlantic Isles, the Caribbean and the Canary Islands.

Cunard operates three premium/luxury ships: Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria. Cunard offers cruises to destinations in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean Sea, New England and Canada, as well as their iconic transatlantic voyages on Queen Mary 2. Most of Cunard's cruises are from 7 to 14 days with three world cruises of over 100 days.

P&O Cruises (Australia) sails to destinations in Australia and the South Pacific than any other cruise line and offers cruises, generally from 3 to 16 days, from multiple home ports in Australia and New Zealand. In addition, the line's itineraries include remote idyllic ports of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. P&O Cruises (Australia) offers itineraries based around prominent Australian events, including Melbourne Cup, Australian Open Tennis and Rugby League State of Origin.
