List of Iron ETFs

Updated May 8, 2019
Iron (and iron ore) has been one of the basic building blocks and most popularly used materials since the old ages. Iron finds use in its sole capacity, as well as in combination with other metals and minerals to form alloys which find larger use. For instance, steel is made by mixing iron with carbon.
Iron-based exchange traded funds (ETF) are those funds which invest in the stocks of the companies which are in the business of iron. Business activities of such companies span across a wide variety, some of which incle mining iron ore, polishing and processing the iron ore to recover pure iron, mixing and producing other alloys based on iron, treating iron, creating specialized iron containers and structures like giant pipelines, rails and other necessities, and processing scrapped iron. Since a metal like iron has dependency of global supply and demand, its prices are prone to fluctuations. Macroeconomic factors like trade tariffs, supply glut, diminishing demand and economic scenario which impacts the overall activities in the infrastructure sector determine the price of iron, and eventually the returns that are generated from Iron and from Iron ETFs.
